The Marine Radio Operator Permit (MROP) is required for individuals operating radio stations aboard vessels and towboats in the maritime services, including commercial vessels over 300 gross tons and those that carry more than six passengers for hire in the open sea, tidewaters, or Great Lakes. This course provides a complete understanding of FCC regulations, marine communication procedures, and emergency protocols. It was developed to help you understand the questions and answers, not just to pass a test through memorization. This course will end with a proctored exam (webcam required) and once passed, we will submit all the necessary filings with the FCC for you to receive your lifetime permit. Alternatively, exams can be taken in person if preferred (MD and AL testing sites available).
